Tab mit Yahoo Mail schließt sich selbst

Seit einigen Wochen macht Firefox Ärger mit Yahoo Mail. Während ich eine Mail lese, schließt sich der Tab zuweilen selbständig. Das geschieht fast täglich mindestens einmal. Dieses Verhalten habe ich bisher auf keiner anderen Website festgestellt.

Der Tab lässt sich danach mit dem Kontextmenü aus der Tab-Leiste wieder öffnen.

Könnten evtl. die von Yahoo am rechten Bildschirmrand eingeblendeten Werbegrafiken Probleme bereiten?

Tabs schliessen sich meines Wissens nur von allein, wenn der Tab aufgrund Inhalt abstürzt.

Schau bitte ins about:crashes, ob dort zum gliechen Zeitpunkt ein Report vermerkt worden ist - jenen übertragen lassen und den resultierenden Link hier eintragen. Danke.

Nein, von alleine schließen sich Tabs überhaupt nicht. Wenn ein Tab (tatsächlich: eine Website) abstürzt, erscheint eine Fehlerseite im entsprechenden Tab. Und auch Websites haben keine Möglichkeit, sich selbst zu schließen. Das könnte höchstens eine Erweiterung.

es gibt nach dem selbständigen Schließen des Yahoo-Tabs keine Absturzberichte.

Der letzte Tab-Absturz ereignete sich nach diesen Aktionen:

- Mail im Vorschaumodus, PDF als Mailanhang

- Download PDF-Anhang -> PDF wird in neuem Tab geöffnet

- Download PDF aus separatem Tab

- Schließen des separaten Tabs

-> Yahoo-Tab ist auch weg

Also stürzen jetzt doch Tabs ab statt sich zu schließen? Denn wie ich bereits schrieb: Ein Tab-Absturz hat eine Fehlerseite zur Folge, keinen geschlossenen Tab. Bei einem Tab-Absturz stürzt tatsächlich die Website ab. Ginge es wirklich um den Tab als Oberflächen-Element, wäre das ein Browser-Absturz und der gesamte Browser wäre weg, kein einzelner Tab.

Kommen dazu ⬇️ auch noch Antworten?

Ich habe mich falsch ausgedrückt. Der Tab hatte sich wieder selbst geschlossen.

Weitere empfohlene Maßnahmen (Bereinigen, Start-Cache löschen) wurden durchgeführt.

In der "Allgemeinen Fehlersuche" bin ich aktuell im Schritt 3. Der Browser arbeitet zZ im Fehlerbehebungsmodus. Ich muss in diesem Zustand nun eine Weile arbeiten und auf den Fehler warten. Die weiteren Schritte sind dann nacheinander dran.

Ich bitte eine Weile um Geduld, bis ich mich wieder melde.

Der PC ist Baujahr 2016. Als Gafik ist auf dem Mainboard eine NVIDIA GeForce GT705 eingebaut. Der letzte 64bit-Treiber dafür wurde vom Hersteller 2018 veröffentlicht. Er wurde um 2019 durch Microsoft Windows bei einem großen Update deaktiviert und durch den jetzt aktiven MS-Standardtreiber ersetzt, weil der originale Treiber angeblich nicht mehr mit Windows 10 kompatibel sei.

Einen aktuelleren Treiber für diese Grafik habe ich bei NVIDIA nicht mehr gefunden.

Soll der angegebene Treiber für die GT705 kompatibel sein?

Du hast Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, das ist eigentlich gar kein Treiber, irgendwas Rudimentäres. Daher stimmen auch Vendor-und Device-ID bei dir nicht, die RTX war daher geraten.

Richtig. Das war der "neueste" und leider allerletzte Treiber. Mein CAD-Programm meckert darum auch, aber es funktioniert, wenn auch das Rendern evtl. langsamer ist. Ich muss mich demnächst nach neuer Hardware umsehen. Mit 6 Jahren Alter ist mein PC ja schon "antik".

Ende 2020 habe ich das Windows 10 komplett neu aufgesetzt. Seitdem läuft es wieder sehr zuverlässig.

Ich kann mir jedoch nicht vorstellen, dass das Grafiktreiberproblem hier den Firefox bei ausgerechnet einem Tab stört.

Vielen Dank trotzdem, dass Du Dir meine Daten schon angesehen hast. Danke auch an die anderen, die sich bisher mit Beiträgen zu meinem Problem geäußert haben.

Nach einigen Tagen ohne Störungen ist heute das Problem wieder aufgetreten.

Arbeitsschritte:

- YAHOO Mail mit PDF-Anhang auswählen

- Vorschau des Anhangs aktivieren durch Klick auf Anhang-Symbol unter der Mail

- Im Vorschau-Teilfenster Download wählen -> PDF wird im neuen Tab geöffnet

- Download der PDF-Datei mit manueller Auswahl des Speicherorts

- YAHOO-Tab verschwindet, während der PDF-Tab aktiv ist

Die gesamte Aktion samt Fehler war identisch mit normal gestartetem Firefox als auch im Fehlerbehebungsmodus.

Als nächstes werde ich den FF mal komplett entfernen und neu installieren. Mal sehen, ob sich dann etwas ändert.

mit der Aussage kann ich nichts anfangen. Kannst Du das bitte erläutern? Ich benutze FF schon etliche Jahre, habe aber nie in seinen Eingeweiden herum gestochert, bin also in dieser Hinsicht ein Greenhorn.

Alle Daten wie z.B. Passwörter, Lesezeichen usw. werden in einem Profilordner vom Firefox gespeichert.

Bei einer Neuinstallation wird dieser Profilordner nicht automatisch gelöscht, sondern weiter benutzt.

Versuch es bitte mal mit einen neuen Profilordner.

Geh dazu auf: Hilfe..Informationen zur Fehlerbehebung.. und dann rechts auf den Button: "Firefox bereinigen", siehe dazu auch hier:

oder über diesen Weg wenn der Button nicht vorhanden ist, bei schon mehreren Profilen.
