Wieder mal: FF als Standardbrowser klappt nicht

Hallo Forum,

bin gerade dabei, Tete´s Build (Firefox 3.0.1 private build (PGO)) auf meinem Laptop zum Laufen zu bringen. Auf meinem Desktop PC läuft noch Version 2 von Tete. Beides also gezippte Builds. Sowohl auf dem Desktop PC als auch auf dem Laptop ist XP prof. SP3 installiert.

Mein Problem:
Am Desktop PC hat das Festlegen des FF als Standardbrowser nach Rückfrage desselben und Bestätigung mit "Ja" geklappt. Am Laptop (Version 3 des FF) kann ich machen was ich will, es klappt nicht.
Versucht habe ich:
Die Abfrage des FF mit "Ja" zu bestätigen -> ohne Erfolg.
Unter "Systemsteuerung -> Software -> Programmzugriffe und Standards" (als Admin angemeldet) "Benutzerdefiniert" ausgewählt -> ohne Erfolg.
"SetBrowser" downgeloaded und Firefox eingestellt -> ohne Erfolg.

Das Ergebnis ist bei jedem Start des FF die bekannte Abfrage, ob Standardbrowser oder nicht.

Gibts noch Ideen??

Wer lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil... :oops: Tete selbst bietet die Lösung an. Sollte also noch jemand dieses Problem haben:

"I can't set tete009 build as default browser"

Please try the following.

1. Get "helper.exe" file from the "uninstall" folder of official build.
2. Make a new folder named "uninstall" in tete009 build's root folder and put "helper.exe" in that folder.
3. Run the helper.exe with /postupdate option. If you don't succeed, please run the helper.exe as administrator.
4. Run tete009 build and set it as default browser using the same procedure as an official build.
