hi all,
sorry for writing in english, but i can say barely a few words in german.
i have a question:
when i download something with firefox (not any other download manager installed), and in the middle of downloading, i disconnect from internet; may i continue the download next time i connect. it should be possible, because after the disconnect, part of the file i was downloading is still on my hard disk.
continue download

Sorry, but this is not possible at this time. I think this is a feature planned for Firefox 2.0 but I'm not completely sure. Until Firefox supports this by itself you can use an external download manager (I myself am using Free Download Manager but others are possible) and connect it to Firefox using FlashGot.
Oh, and for the future: the MozillaZine Forums are the English speaking Forums about Firefox and other Mozilla products.

Welcome to the board !
As far as I know, the Firefox download-manager cannot resume aborted downloads, so you will have to use an external download-manager. You can use the FlashGot (Link) extension to include this external download-manager into Firefox, a list of supported download-managers is available here (Link).

Too late.@ Dr. Evil
Das soll kein Vorwurf sein, aber glaubst du es ist sinnvoll, einen englisch sprechenden User auf eine deutsche Seite hinzuweisen?
