Flash-Plugin unter Linux

    Hi,

    weiß jemand, wie man das Flash-Plugin mit firefox unter Linux zum Laufen kriegt?
    Der flashplayer-installer installiert das Plugin immer nur für Mozilla.
    Firefox versucht auch, das Mozilla-Plugin zu benutzen, das geht aber schief.
    So zum Beispiel:

    LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /home/luke/.mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so [libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    Gibt es vielleicht ne gute Seite, die sich allgemein mit Linux und Firefox-Plugins beschäftigt? Ich finde das immer das Nervigste (zusammen mit den Schriftarten :-))

    Ich hab mich einfach nur an die Anweisungen in der readme.txt gehalten:

    To install the Plug-in Player for Linux:

    - This installer is script-based and cannot be run from a GUI.
    - Uncompress install_flash_player_6_linux.tar.gz. A directory called install_flash_player_6_linux is created. Navigate to this directory.
    - From the command line, type ./flashplayer-installer to run the installer. The installer will instruct you to shut down your browser(s).
    - Once the installation is complete, the plug-in will be installed in your Mozilla browser. To verify, choose Help > About Plug-ins from the browser's menu.

    Währenddessen wirst du gefragt, für welche Browser du das Plugin installiert haben willst. Bei mir ist es aber auch bei einem Rechner vorgekommen, dass Firefox nicht erkannt wurde.

    Ich hab dann einfach die zwei Dateien aus dem Mozilla-Profil in das Plugin-Verzeichnis vom Fx kopiert und es geht. Das mal probiert?

    Ja, hab ich gemacht.
    Das Verzeichnis /home/luke/firefox/plugins enthält die Dateien flashplayer.xpt* libflashplayer.so*, aber es funktioniert nicht.
