Naja, W10privacy ist eigentlich ein ''Spionage-Abstell-Tool''. Ich nutze es immerhin seit etwa 2 Jahren ohne Probleme.
Und das leichten Herzens, da ich von all meinen Systemen und Programmen, immer zumindest auch ein unberührtes Installations-Backup in Reserve habe. Wie heisst's so treffend. ''Kein Backup - kein Mitleid.''

Auf die Idee zur Entwicklung dieses kleinen Programmes kam ich durch die standardmäßig doch äußerst bedenklich gesetzten Datenschutz- sowie Privatsphäreneinstellungen in Windows 10 - vorsichtig formuliert!
Microsoft überlässt es dabei großzügiger Weise jedem, den Großteil der Einstellungen anzupassen, verbirgt diese aber in unzähligen Menüs, die die wenigsten "Standardanwender" absuchen möchten.
Das Programm soll daher eine Hilfe sein, die verfügbaren Einstellungen relativ übersichtlich darzustellen und die gewünschten Optionen bei Bedarf zu setzen. Der primäre Focus steht dabei auf Einstellungen für Windows 10 sowie dessen Apps (z. B. dem neuen Browser "Edge"), es werden aber für Windows 8.1 (und Win 7) verfügbare Features integriert.

Ansonsten gibts inzwischen einige hübsche Linuxe.
Leider fehlen bei Linux die für mich unverzichtbaren Systemereignis-Sounds (also indivuelle Profile wie unter Windows).
Die hatte SLAX einmal, leider bis zur Version 7.8 (2013). Die neuen Linuxe wie MINT haben nur ein paar Sounds.
FAZIT: Die post.at Seite brauch ich 1-2 Mal im Monat, da lohnt der Aufwand nicht.
Aber es wäre interessant gewesen draufzukommen, was Firefox abhält, weil Opera funktioniert ja.

TIPP: Würde mal zum Testen über about:profiles (Adresszeile) ein neues Profil anlegen.

Hast wahrscheinlich recht, die Datenkralle Windows gehört eh längst entsorgt. Werd wohl doch auf Linux umsteigen (müssen) ... ;o)
