hopefully i'm just misunderstanding this comment, but...
i noticed this on the Firefox3/Product Requirements Document in the distribution section. is this a good idea? I thought firefox was supposed to stay away from the bad ideas of IE...
my suggestion is to make it easy as hell to uninstall. make people use it because they like it, not because it's difficult to uninstall, and integrates into the users system so that firefox can "lock in branding".

Soll das heißen, z.B. die Datenkraken liefern den Firefox künftig mit ihren Suchleisten aus, und wenn diese deinstalliert werden (falls das überhaupt noch geht) bleibt der Firefox trotzdem mit dem Markenzeichen des Datenkraken gebrandmarkt

I’m guessing that it is at least good for the current version, so get the serial number and download the latest installer. A post that I made earlier this year regarding Thunderbird as an Outlook replacement really sparked some heated debates in the comments. People were saying that it will never happen, yet this is the direct goal of the new OpenOffice. They plan on including the Lightning add-on for Thunderbird so that in addition to email support, users will also be able to manage their schedule and appointments.

Die unterstützten Plattformen stehen noch nicht fest, wahrscheinlich wird der ARM-Prozessor eine große Rolle spielen (es gibt schon länger Fx-Adaptionen für den ARM); bisher sicher ist: Mobile Firefox wird nicht vor 2008 erscheinen.
Es hätte mich auch gewundert, wenn Mobile Fx in nicht einmal 3 Monaten erscheinen könnte.

Mit der Erweiterung It's All Text! kann zum Editieren der Textfelder in Foren, Wikis etc. ein externer Editor (z.B. OpenOffice.org, Word usw.) eingebunden werden.

Neben der Übernahme von Linktext und -Adressen steht auch eine Rechtschreibprüfung zur Verfügung, wenn der externe Editor eine solche besitzt.
