Vielen Dank für deine Rückmeldung/Einschätzung.

Die Einstellungen wurden dann anscheinend irgendwann mal in grauer Vorzeit gesetzt (nicht von mir) und durch die Browser-Updates nicht mehr überschrieben.

Wie meinst du das mit kritisch? Relevant für die Sicherheit/Stabilität?

Grundsätzlich gefragt:
Können diese Einstellungen bzw. das sehr alte Profil solch ein Verhalten (wie von mir eingangs beschrieben) auslösen?

Eine Frage zum Profil:
Ich habe sehr viele geöffnete Tabs (die ich auf keinen Fall verlieren möchte) und ein paar Favoriten (insbesondere die Favoritenleiste) - könnte man das problemlos vollständig wiederherstellen (unter einem neuen Profil)?

Ich war nur etwas verunsichert, bevor ich so viele Information öffentlich poste, wollte ich sicherheitshalber nochmals nachfragen. Sicherheit/Achtsamkeit (denke ich) sollte für uns ganz weit oben auf der Prioritätenliste stehen.

Firefox funktioniert bis auf diesen Zwischenfall soweit normal/unauffällig.

Danach lies er sich auch wieder ganz normal starten und hat auch die zuletzt geöffneten Tabs normal geöffnet (ist so eingestellt).

Unter about:crashes steht:
Es wurden noch keine Absturzberichte versendet.

Gibt es bei about:support eine Möglichkeit meine persönlichen Daten da irgendwie "zu schwärzen"?

Eine Software von ASUS war und ist nicht installiert (die Einstellung der Tastatur funktioniert quasi on demand, indem man auf die Gear Link Website von ASUS geht und dann den Zugriff auf die Tastatur gewährt).

Möglicherweise wurde die UAC auch nicht von Chrome, sondern von einer anderen Applikation (möglicherweise Firefox?) getriggert.

Leider weiß ich nicht, wie man herausfinden kann, welcher Prozess/welche Anwendung das getriggert hat

Ja, das war mein Fehler - war da in einer Art Schockzustand und hab im Affekt auf nein geklickt.

Hallo zusammen,

gestern bin ich sehr erschrocken, als im geöffneten Firefox plötzlich ein neuer Tab mit der Seite about:processes ganz kurz angezeigt wurde und sich danach sofort der Browser selbstständig geschlossen hat.

Chrome war nebenher geöffnet und als ich Chrome angeklickt hatte, kam dort die Frage, ob ich zulassen möchte, dass Änderungen am System vorgenommen werden (also diese typische UAC-Meldung). Möglicherweise wurde das aber auch nicht von/für Chrome, sondern von einer anderen Applikation getriggert.

Ich habe bei der UAC-Meldung auf nein geklickt und sofort die Tastatur abgezogen. Ich habe recht frisch eine ASUS ROG Falcata und diese immer nur per USB-Kabel verbunden.

Im Anschluss habe ich sofort einen Virenscan mit dem Defender durchgeführt - dieser hatte nichts gefunden.
Ein Scan mit AdwCleaner brachte ebenfalls keinen Fund.

Zunächst hatte ich die ASUS ROG Falcata (an die ich mich seit ein paar Tagen gewöhne) im Verdacht, da das Ding halt selbst fast schon ein kleiner Computer ist und haufenweise Makros, Pattern usw. ausführen kann - da hatte ich einen möglichen Firmware-Bug oder Schlimmeres befürchtet...
Traue mich schon fast nicht, die Tastatur wieder anzustecken (habe jetzt erstmal eine alte Dell-Tastatur im Einsatz).

Zum Zeitpunkt des Vorfalls hatte ich auch keine Taste auf der Tastatur gedrückt!
Jetzt bin ich natürlich maximal verunsichert, was das gewesen sein kann...

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit das irgendwie im Firefox nachvollziehen zu können (anhand von Logs oder so)?

Und kann man das in irgendeinem (Event)Log nachvollziehen/sehen, welche Aktion diese UAC-Meldung getriggert hat?

Was mir noch aufgefallen ist (hatte den Rechner gestern dann runtergefahren und abends wieder angemacht):
Der Rechner ist völlig normal hochgefahren und es läuft auch alles ganz normal (auch heute wieder) - Firefox hat aber gestern Abend ein Update von 148.2 auf 149 gemacht. Möglicherweise war das irgendwie ein Vorbote (ist aber in der Firefox-Update-Chronik auch nicht als fehlgeschlagen oder sowas eingetragen)?
