Manche Provider nutzen die Download-Box als Testwerkzeug zur Messung der Download-Geschwindigkeit. (z.B. Congstar)
ABER:
Die aktuelle (FF8-) Download-Box zeigt NICHT die korrekte Download-Geschwindigkeit an und NICHT die vergangene Zeit seit Starten des Downloads.
Sie zeigt stattdessen ungefähr die Hälfte der tatsächlichen Geschwindigkeit an. Merkwürdig und ärgerlich !
Beispiel
Mit FF8 und 6000 Kbit/sek Bandbreite lud ich 100 MB in nur 2 min 40 sek (=160 sek) herunter.
Das ist eine Brutto-Performance von 5000 Kbit/sek (= 625 KB/sek).
Die Download-Box zeigte aber als Geschwindigkeit 337 KB/sek an (= 2696 Kbit/sec).
Sehr nützlich wäre folgende Verbesserung:
