Das Problem bleibt weiterhin bestehen, jetzt ist seit ein paar Tagen zu beobachten, das beim Start von FF (ohne Add-ons) 3 häufig auch 4 Prozesse im Taskmanager auftauchen. Zwei benutzen weniger als 1 % CPU und auch nur wenige MB Arbeitsspeicher. Die beiden anderen benutzen bis zu 15% die CPU und der Arbeistspeicher läuft bei beiden in den GB-Bereich hoch. Bei ca. jeweils 1,5-2GB läßt sich dann FF nicht mehr bedienen.

Ich habe jetzt Avast entfernt, im Firefox läuft trotzdem der Speicher hoch bis dieses Programm nicht mehr vernünftig arbeitet, sprich immer langsamer wird.
Derzeit habe ich außer diesem Eingabefenster alle Task geschlossen und es wird mir eine Arbeitsspeichernutzung von ca. 2 Gigabyte angezeigt. -
Dann sind Sie sehr blauäugig, denn Defender steht trotz neusten Updates auf den Virenscannerlisten ganz hinten.
Banken reicht dieser Basisschutz in der Regel nicht aus, so das Sie schon beim Online-Banking Probleme bekommen können. -
Das mit dem neuen Profil bringt auch nur das gleiche Ergebnis.

ich benutze W10 Prof 64 Bit und Firefox 55.0.3 (64-Bit).
Bei längerer Benutzung wächst der benutzte Arbeitsspeicher immer mehr an und erreicht mehrere GB. FF wird dann immer langsamer und reagiert fast nicht mehr, selbst das Schließen dauert mehrere Minuten. Dieses erfolgt häufig nicht vollständig und beim erneuten Starten von FF erhalte ich eine Meldung das FF noch läuft. Dann muss ich ihn erst mit dem Task-Manager killen.[attachment=0]FF 01.jpg[/attachment] -
Kann es sein, das man ganz "nebenbei" mit etwas anderen beschäftigt ist, zum Beispiel bei einem Hilfsdienst, der einen zu sehr seltsamen Zeiten beansprucht und der es einfach nicht zulässt, das man sich ständig mit den Unzulänglichkeiten eines Programmupdates beschäftigt.

Das Problem haben wir heute gelöst.
Add-ons werden bei der der Aufrüstung einer 32-Bit Version auf eine 64-Bit nicht sauber übernommen. Man muss sie alle deinstallieren und wieder neu installieren, dann funktioniert es.
Erkennen kann man dieses, wenn man Add-ons deaktiviert, dann werden sie in den Informationen zur Fehlerbehebung weiterhin als aktiviert angezeigt. Bei uns trat dieses bei den Add-ons AdblockPlus, Ghostery und Joomla!Admin auf. -
Noch ein kleiner Nachtrag:
Die Version 53.0 (32bit) zeigt die gleichen vorgenannten Erscheinungen.
Die Version 51.0b9 funktioniert wie gewünscht. - Schlecht ist jedoch, das man hier mit eventuellen Sicherheitslücken rechnen muss.
Schon deshalb bleibt voraussichtlich nur der Wechsel zu einem anderen Browser übrig. -
Ich weis nicht was ich hier noch schreiben soll. Zum einen wird mit einer gewissen Überheblichkeit geantwortet, oder eigentlich nicht geantwortet.
Fakt ist, das diese Version von Firefox nicht mehr mit unverschlüsselten Seiten funktioniert, das habe ich nicht nur festgestellt, sondern auch eine gewisse Presse. Und ich zitiere diese noch einmal ""aber mehr Möglichkeiten, als den Dienst dann nicht zu nutzen, bleiben dem Anwender momentan nicht."
Wir müssen jedoch mit solchen Seiten kommunizieren und da hilft mir alles schön reden nicht weiter. Und wir haben festgelegte Sicherheitskonzepte für unsere Daten, die auch nicht mal so einfach geändert werden können, manches ist auch kostenintensiv.Hier noch ein paar Beispiele wo es Probleme gibt:
Joomla funktioniert mit dieser Version von Firefox nicht mit unverschlüsselten Seiten.
http://www.dwd.de/waldbrand - Hier können nicht die Stationsdaten abgerufen werden, es scheitert schon bei der Auswahl des Bundeslandes
gis.zwickau.de/ - Der Zoom bricht bei einer höheren Auflösung ab.
http://www.paypal.com - obwohl verschlüsselt, können keine Eingaben nach der Anmeldung vorgenommen/abgeschickt werden.
http://www.wetteronline.de/ - Keine Ortsangabe ist möglich
Des weiteren sind viele Seiten von Hotels und Jugendherbergen nicht nutzbar, wenn man Buchungsanfragen stellen möchte.Ich würde mir eine Information wünschen, wie diese Seiten weiterhin genutzt werden können, den es liegt nicht in unserem Ermessen, die Anbieter zur Verschlüsselung zu zwingen.

Eine PC-Zeitschrift schreibt zu diesem Problem:
"aber mehr Möglichkeiten, als den Dienst dann nicht zu nutzen, bleiben dem Anwender momentan nicht."Somit brauchen wir uns keine weiteren Gedanken über eventuelle Fehler im System der PC's und Laptop's zu machen.

Der Bezahldienst Paypal funktioniert nicht, es erfolgt ein Abbruch beim Absenden der Daten ohne irgendeine Meldung.
Getestet wurde auf 7 verschiedenen Rechnern mit Windows 7 bis Windows 10. Alle Rechner sind mit Zonealarm ausgestattet und haben verschiedene Antivirensoftware.
Ansonsten verwenden wir jetzt Chrome und warten auf ein funktionierendes Update, es tut mir leid, aber es fehlt einfach die Zeit um Beta-Tester zu spielen. -

Der letzte Hinweis, das System wegen eines nicht funktionierenden Firefox neu aufzusetzen ist absurd.
Begründung:
Ein neues System aufsetzen dauert unter Umständen mehrere Stunden. Ein nicht ordnungsgemäß funktionierendes Programm zu ersetzen dauert nur wenige Minuten.Einige Punkte die nicht funktionieren habe ich oben genannt, ein weiterer: Die administrative Anmeldung bei Joomla 3.6 funktioniert nicht mehr.

Bei mir besteht das gleiche Problem:
Ich habe vorige Woche einen Wechsel auf Firefox 64Bit vollzogen und seitdem funktionieren einige LINKS nicht mehr und auch viele Auswahlfenster nicht. (Irgend eine Meldung, Begründung gibt es nicht)
So z.B. wenn ich die Verfügbarkeit von Hotels oder auch Jugendherbergen prüfen möchte endet dieses meist beim Abschicken mit dem Löschen der eingegebenen Daten und sonst passiert nichts.
Mit einem anderen Browser wie Crome funktioniert es jedoch einwandfrei.
