ZitatI'm closing this topic - the feature discussed here will not be implemented. This is partially due to the points brought up in the discussion, partially because I no longer feel that this is the best way. I'm considering some other solutions, will request comments once there is something more definite to discuss.
ZitatFrom what I know only Filter von Dr.Evil (https://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions) is using that approach so far - it tries to block annoying advertising only. This list is geared towards German websites however. The general problem here is both defining annoying advertising and determining whether an ad network counts as annoying - it might serve very different ads depending on circumstances. What I am seriously considering however is implementing a mode where Adblock Plus would whitelist every site by default. Whenever a site uses annoying advertising you could switch off whitelisting there, the filters from your filter subscription will be applied then. In the current version this is already possible but rather difficult to use, the idea is to change the user interface to make it significantly simpler.
