Die Datei gehört auf jeden Fall zum Firefox. Ist bei einer Neuinstallation ebenso dabei wie bei bestehenden älteren Installationen.

Benenne bitte mal deine alte profiles.ini um in profiles.old. Du findest die Datei über den Windows Explorer unterCode%AppData%\Mozilla\FirefoxProbiere es dann bitte erneut aus.

Da das Dalvik Cache System direkt betroffen zu sein scheint, wäre wohl eine Bereinigung dessen ratsam. Wie das geht musst du aber passend zu deinem Model ergoogeln. Unter Umständen verliert du dabei aber alle deine installieren App und/oder nur deren Einstellungen.

Schmeiße mal deine Hotspot Shield VPN Proxy Erweiterung runter. Und stelle den Firefox wieder auf "kein Proxy" oder auf "Systemeinstellungen verwenden".

Trotzdem können teilweise die von Erweiterungen gemachten Einstellungen weiterhin aktiv sein. Besser wäre es zum Testen Kaspersky komplett zu deinstallieren und die Erweiterung im Anschluss per Profil bereinigen zu entfernen. Das Problem gab es hier und da öfters mal und lag meistens an Kaspersky. Hast du eine Sicherheitssoftware eines Drittanbieters installiert? Ggf. eben zufällig Kaspersky? Wenn ja, dann deinstalliere diese mal genau nach Herstelleranleitung. Bei Kaspersky wäre das Tool dazu der KavRemover. https://support.kaspersky.com/de/common/serv…?el=1464#block1
Sehr wahrscheinlich wird dein Problem dann nicht mehr da sein. -
Ist der AVG/Avira Browser Cleaner mit installiert? Wenn ja, dann wirst du sehr wahrscheinlich darin den Übeltäter haben.

Links aus anderen Programmen werden mit dem im System definierten Standardprogrammen geöffnet. Diese Standardprogramme müssen dazu dem System bekannt sein, sprich installiert und somit dem System per Registry bekannt sein. Ausser du definierst ein Programm manuell, was aber ein klein wenig aufwändiger ist. Ansonsten sind beide Versionen absolut gleichwertig.

Was du in den Einstellungen gefunden hast, wird die Sprachunterstützung der einzelnen Websites gewesen sein. Sprich bei multilingualen Seiten, wirst du mit der dort gemachten ersten Einstellung "begrüßt".

Mal was anderes als die ganzen hellen und grellen Themes, die mal so gar nicht gehen und erst recht nicht die Dunklen, die man gar nicht als night-mode gehen bzw. geeignet sind. Und auch gar nicht zum Dark Theme von Windows oder bei Android harmonieren.... Und ja... Ich mag pink und schwarz *lol*

Die Berechtigungen werden wohl die ganze Zeit benötigt. Die erste erschliesst sich mir nicht ganz so, aber dieses sollte in der EULA bzw. in den Datenschutzbestimmungen zur Erweiterung wohl beschrieben sein[1]. Die zweite wird benötigt, wenn du eine CoApp, die teilweise von der Erweiterung gebraucht wird, installierst. Quasi als Ersatz für den firefox-eigenen Download-Manager. Dafür braucht(e) es keine Erweiterung, einfach im Textfeld das Kontextmenü aufrufen (rechte Maustaste) und dann unter Sprachen das gewünschte Wörterbuch auswählen. (siehe Bild)

Wörterbücher sind unter "Addons - Wörterbücher" gelistet und können dort, so wie andere Erweiterungen auch, deinstalliert oder deaktiviert werden.
