Über userContent.css wurde das verändert. Aber meine Schwester weiß nicht wo man das downloaden kann und was das ist und will es nicht. Und verstehen tuen wir beide es nicht. Es ist viel zu kompliziert so eine Datei oder was auch immer das ist, selbst zu schreiben.
Das ist doch schon mal eine Aussage.
Tu mal Folgendes:
1. Gib about:support in die Adressleiste ein - es erscheint die Seite mit den Informationen zur Fehlerbehebung
2. Gehe im Abschnitt „Allgemeine Informationen“ auf „Profilordner“ und dort auf „Ordner öffnen“. - Rechts daneben steht der Pfad zu deinem Benutzerprofil.
3. Firefox springt jetzt in dein Benutzerprofil. Dort findest du einen Ordner mit dem Namen „chrome“.
4. Öffne den Ordner „chrome“ und darin solltest du die Datei userContent.css finden, sofern es die Datei wirklich bei dir gibt.
5. Öffne die Datei userContent.css in einem Texteditor deiner Wahl.
6. Kopiere den gesamten Inhalt der Datei in die Zwischenablage (geht am schnellsten mit Strg+A und Strg+C)
7. Gehe jetzt in das Editorfenster hier im Forum. Klicke in der Symbolleiste des Editorfensters auf das Symbol </>. Es wird ein Kasten mit dem Wort Quellcode eingefügt. Klicke auf das Wort Quellcode. Es öffnet sich das Fenster „Code bearbeiten“. Klicke dort auf den kleinen Pfeil rechts neben (Automatische Erkennung) und wähle CSS aus.
8. Klicke dann auf „Speichern“. Klicke nun in den Kasten hinein. Füge den Text aus der Zwischenablage ein, z. B. mit Strg+V.
9. Sende nun deinen Beitrag ab.

Für einen Jahre alten Firefox wirst du keine Hilfe mehr bekommen. Aktualisiere erst einmal Firefox, aktuell ist Fx 78.0.2 und am Dienstag kommt sogar schon Fx 79.0.

Du hast mit dem Code von Andreas erneut probiert? In deinem Code aus Beitrag #1 fehlt die Angabe !important, die dafür sorgt, dass Standardwerte überschrieben werden. Außerdem fehlt in deinem Code in Zeile 2 und 6 das abschließende Semikolon. Das Problem bei Hover könnte mittlerweile sein, dass -moz-box nicht mehr funktioniert, daher hat Andreas stattdessen block verwendet.

Von alleine stellt sich da nichts um. Hast du ein anderes Profil verwendet?

Der Rechtsklick auf Symbolleiste oder Menüleiste und dann auf Lesezeichen-Symbolleiste ist dir zu umständlich?
Du kannst auch über die Tastatur durch die Menüs gehen:
Alt+A - öffnet Menü Ansicht
y - öffnet Untermenü Symbolleisten
l - blendet Lesezeichenleiste ein bzw. wieder aus

Aha, Sicherheit ist dir nicht wichtig und eine wirkliche Lösung des Problems auch nicht, denn mit einer älteren Firefox-Version erhältst du inzwischen gelöste Sicherheitsprobleme und Bugs wieder und umgehst nur das eigentliche Problem.

Ergänzung: Wenn du die gestrichelten Linien dennoch haben möchtest, musst du sie zwischen /* und */ einschließen. Dann gelten sie als Kommentar und werden vom CSS-Parser ignoriert.

Nur zur Information: Diese Einstellung ist ab Firefox 69 notwendig. Für Thunderbird 68.*.* war die Einstellung bisher nicht nötig. Jetzt hat aber Thunderbird den Versionssprung auf Version 78.0 gemacht und die Einstellung ist nun auch für TB erforderlich.

Wie exportierst du denn? Du solltest Datei --> Exportieren als --> Als PDF exportieren. Dann erscheinen die PDF-Einstellungen. Dort musst auf den Reiter Verknüpfungen gehen und unter Allgemein Dokumentverweise in PDF-Ziele umwandeln auswählen. Und wenn dann noch mit dem Browser angezeigt werden soll, darunter bei Verknüpfungen zwischen Dokumenten Mit Internetbrowser öffnen auswählen.

Was für den Firefox auf jeden Fall funktioniert, ist ein UserChrome-Skript: custom_scrollbars.uc.js von Aris. Er hatte das auch mal hier mit Bildern gepostet, finde es aber gerade nicht.

Tröste dich, ich hab es auch nicht mehr gewusst. Ist ja eigentlich ein Spezialfall. Ich bin dann auch auf das Benutzerskript gewechselt, weil das weitaus mehr Anpassungsmöglichkeiten bietet. Im CSS-Code sind ja nur scrollbar-color und scrollbar-width (und da auch nur auto, thin und none) möglich.
