I'll ask my landlord for some help with this. Actually, I took the old memory with me to the shop to make sure I got a compatible one, but they did warn me that it might not work for the one is 256, a cheap one that was in the PC when I got it and the new one is 512. I'll try taking the old one out and working only with the new one for the moment.
Okay, I'll shut down and do this right now for this is really driving me nuts...

P.S.: Oh, sorry, hab gar nicht gemerkt, dass ich Englisch geschrieben hab. Hoffentlich kein Problem? Ich hab jetzt erst mal den 512er rausgenommen und es scheint zu gehen. Mal sehen und auf den Holzkopf klopfen...

Ojeh, da ist es wieder - aber es passiert auch beim MSN Messenger, exakt die gleiche Fehlermeldung. Dann liegt es wohl an irgendwas allgemeinerem.
Hat vielleicht jemand eine Idee?

Hallo,

jetzt scheint es weg zu sein. Vorher war's bei beiden Browsern, exakt das gleiche. Denkbar waere dieses: Ich hab ein WLAN und einen eigentlich sehr guten Router, aber ich bin in Irland und manchmal krieg ich trotz meines eigentlich guten Equipments die Meldung "Signal strength very low". Kann das sein, dass das Signal ploetzlich m.o.w. abbricht und beide Browser dadurch ein Problem kriegen?

Hallo zusammen,

vorneweg: Ich weiss nicht, ob das wirklich hierher gehoert, aber ich weiss nicht, wie lang mein System diesmal geht, deshalb schreib ich's hier rein. Ggf. bitte ich um Umsetzung dieses Threads und Nachsicht.
Problem: Ich habe Firefox 5.0 und seit jetzt grade eben stellt der dauernd ein Problem fest und schliesst - wie der Internet Explorer "...has encountered a problem and needs to close...". Die einzige Aenderung, die ich in letzter Zeit vorgenommen hab, ist eine RAM-Erweiterung von knapp 200 auf 768MB. Ich hab eine Firewall und ein Virenprogramm, das ich alle paar Tage aktualisiere. Kann mir irgendwer sagen, woran das liegen koennte und wie es evtl. zu beheben waere?
